For planty accessories, we try to get them out as soon as possible. But certain items are handmade and made to order. Please take into account processing times plus shipping times. If you’re in a hurry, drop us a note and we’ll do our best to accommodate!

PLEASE KNOW YOUR WEATHER BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER. We *do not* check the weather before shipping our plants. Hotter months - Your plant can scorch if left out on hot days. During warmer months, we secure plants in the box and use lighter material to "fill" the open spaces. Plantheology is NOT responsible for weather damages and USPS does NOT cover weather damage on their packages. Plants ship from San Francisco, California on Monday, Tuesday OR Saturday - depending on where you reside and to avoid longer than necessary transit times. Winter - Heatpacks are recommended if your DAYTIME temperatures are ~40 degrees fahrenheit, otherwise, please opt for the insulation shipping. Please order the necessary items for your plants for winter shipping.

Unfortunately, we do not accept returns or exchanges on live plants and cannot be held responsible for damages incurred by the weather and delays with USPS. To ensure quality control, we take pictures of our plant shipments and how we pack them before their journey to you. For issues, contact us within 24 hours of the delivery time stamp and keep all original packaging and box.

Your plant(s) are tired from their journey. If the soil is dry, water it thoroughly. Put it in medium light for a few days and slowly acclimate it to your home and its optimal growing conditions. Providing additional humidity is always helpful. Don't be alarmed by a small amount of leaf loss or browning - clip away any damage with a sterile, sharp blade. Droopy plants should perk up within a few days. If your plant came in a pot, refrain from repotting it for several weeks after it arrives to avoid additional stress.

Shipping bareroot or semi-bareroot is, no doubt, stressful for plants, but people do it because it's easier and cheaper to ship. At Plantheology, we always prioritize what's best for the plant. Plantheology always tries to plant in 3in nursery pots for 1) easier transport and 2) minimize additional plant stress. We generally ship our 3in and 4in pots in their nursery pot, unless specified in the item description. However, for bigger pots (5inches or more), and at our discretion, we may ship bareroot. We will let you know if we do this. Hawaii orders ship semi-barefoot.

We ship to all states except Alaska. Hawaii orders will ship semi-bare root. However, we cannot be held responsible if orders are held or destroyed by the AG customs. We do not offer phytosanitary certificates for international orders.

Uh oh - it happens. Please don't dispose of any damaged material and keep all packing materials. We want you to be delighted with your order. Please reach out within 2 days of the delivery date and send pictures. We'll try to make it right which may require filing a claim with USPS.

The most important details are that if a package is lost and stuck in transit for 10+ business days, Plantheology will work with USPS to solve the issue. If package is delivered, the post office can offer coordinates on where the package was delivered in case it was delivered in the wrong address. If it was sent priority, you can file a claim with USPS. Plantheology cannot help with locating the package since it's out of our hands at that point.

Orders can take several weeks to arrive for international orders. Please add that to your time frame. If your order is returned to Plantheology and it went to your country and it was rejected or not picked up, etc. we will issue the return less the ACTUAL shipping cost, which is less than what was displayed when you made your purchase - It's generally $15-30 depending on the country it was sent to. International orders have an option to return based on their countries laws. Where legal, we will not be held responsible for return shipping.
